Add a Heading

• Add a heading to your form to give your site’s visitors more information on what kind of form they will be filling out.
• To do this click “Add a Heading” on the left of the Form Builder screen, or drag and drop the Add a Heading tool onto the ‘Work Space.’
• Once the tool is on the screen, click on the text to access the text field and give your form your own heading.

Properties for the Heading Tool

• Make This Item Required: Check this box if you’d like this Text Box a required item to submit the form
• Validate This Item As: The different choices here allow you to set restrictions on what characters are acceptable in the text field when the form is submitted;
• None: All characters will be acceptable in the field.
• E-mail: The text field will accept only characters written as an e-mail address.
• Alphabetic: The field will accept the input of alphabetic letters.
• Numeric: Only numbers will be accepted if this option is selected.
• Alphanumeric: Both letter and numbers are acceptable input if this option is chosen.
• Set Lengths: The values in these two fields correspond with the maximum amount of characters one can enter into the field and the width of the Text Box field itself, respectively.
• Label Alignment: The choices in this menu box allow you to set the alignment of the text that appears in the label area for this Text Box.
• Remove: Clicking this button will remove the Heading from the Form Builder Work Space.
