Add an Email Field
To add an Email field to your form, click on the Add an Email Field button on the left side of the Form Builder menu. This will allow visitors to your site to give you their email address so you may contact them later.
When the Email Field is added to the Work Space, you will have to label the field in the area that asks you to “Enter your label here.”
In the field to the right of the Label Field, you may enter a customized message to your site’s visitors in the field where you’d like them to leave their email address. If no text is entered in this field, the default text ‘name@host.com’ will appear to serve as an example of what kind of text your site’s visitors should enter in this field.
Properties for the Email Field Tool
Make This Item Required:
Check this box if you’d like to make the Email Field a required item in order to submit the form.
Validate This Item As:
For this element, the validation is set to Email by default.
Set Lengths:
The values in these two fields correspond with the maximum amount of characters one can enter into the field and the width of the Email Field itself, respectively.
Label Alignment:
The choices in this menu box allow you to set the alignment of the text that appears in the label area for the Email Field.
