Adding & organizing form elements
You can add any element to the form at any time by clicking it or dragging and dropping the tool from the Form Tools list on the left of the screen to the ‘Work Space’ on the right. You are also able to drag and drop individual form elements in the Work Space to their target location on the form.
Using the Toolbar
The four buttons to the right appear for each tool when the tool is highlighted/selected. Their functions are as follows:
- Move Element Up/Down: The blue arrows here allow you to move the selected tool to its desired place on your form. Additionally, you may drag and drop the element to the target location as well.
- Element Properties: The gear symbol opens the Tool Options screen for each element in the Form Builder Module, though the number and function of the options vary for each Form Builder Tool.
- Remove Element: The red ‘x’ symbol will delete the selected element when clicked. A screen will appear to ask you if you are certain you’d like to delete the element from your form.
- Make a field required: To create a required field, check the box to the left of the form element and click the red flag in the toolbar. A red asterisk will appear to the right of any required fields.
- Set Length: The choices in this menu box allow you to set the alignment of the text that appears in the label area for the Text Area field.
